Le Centre national des arts plastiques (Cnap), Paris, acquires Jacqueline de Jong’s Porca Miseria (2021)
Pippy Houldsworth Gallery is delighted to announce that Jacqueline de Jong’s Porca Miseria(2021) has been acquired by Le Centre national des arts plastiques (Cnap), Paris. This large-scale work on paper belongs to a body of work completed by the artist following the period of global lockdowns. The title is derived from an Italian expression frequently used by de Jong’s late friend, Swiss architect Luigi Snozzi, for whom the work was made in honour of.
Jacqueline de Jong is to be awarded the prestigious honour of Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French Minister of Culture in May 2023.
